Today, I saw something in the sky—
Maybe a flight, or perhaps a small rocket.
I wasn’t sure what it was,
But it flew so smoothly and so high
That you could only admire it from a distance.
It made me think about what it means to fly high.
When you’re soaring above normal levels,
Beyond the reach of most people,
You’re extraordinary—one in a million.
The freedom of being up there is exhilarating.
The speed, the view,
The sense of breaking free from limits—
It’s all so beautiful.
But there’s a trade-off.
Flying high often means being alone.
It’s a paradox of being exceptional:
While you rise, you may feel detached.
As humans, we’re wired to seek connection,
Validation,
Social interaction.
So, if you’re like me—
Someone who sometimes feels out of place,
Like you don’t quite fit in—
It’s okay.
It’s part of being rare.
When you move at a speed others can’t match,
There’s a certain joy in it,
But also an inherent void.
The question then becomes:
Are you okay with that?
Can you embrace the solitude that comes with being extraordinary
While still finding ways to connect?
What do you think?
